International Bible Day was celebrated today in Azerbaijan.
On November 23, 2023, on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Bible Society, with the support of the organization of the Christian Religious Community of Azerbaijan “Vineyard”, the International Day of the Bible was held at the Lutheran Church “Evangelical Savior”.
The event was attended by many institutions, including the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Moral Values Foundation, and the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism.
In attendance were the Spokesman of Baku Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Konstantin Pominov, the Choir of St. Michael the Archangel Church, and Bishop of the Apostolic Catholic Prefecture, Vladimir Fekete, who made a congratulatory speech at the celebration.
The event was also attended by the chairman of the Alban-Udine congregation, Robert Mobili, and the heads of other local Christian congregations. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of societies with speech impediments living in Azerbaijan.
Christian hymns were sung at the event, and prayers were given for the land and people of Azerbaijan.
